WHY JUMP’S WORKSHOP?

JUMP is constantly working to keep our workshop the most fun and innovative in the industry! Here are just a few of the things that make JUMP’s Workshop unique:

SO MANY STYLES!

JUMP believes in dancers training in ALL styles. Most of our weekends have all of these styles: Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz-Funk, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Ballroom!

LIVE MUSIC

In some of the classes! Piano player for ballet, acoustic guitar for contemporary… we try to mix it up!

MUSIC VIDEO CLASS

Where our Junior dancers work with our camera crew every weekend and create their very own Music & Dance Video!

PROPS, THEMES AND THINGS!

In our JUMPstart, Mini & Junior classes, we like to add some fun elements to the weekend! JUMPstart classes might have “super hero” theme day, Minis might get special t-shirts for a class and Juniors might have a special guest join them! We do what we can to keep things new and exciting!

JUMPstarts with Guitars

MOST IMPORTANTLY

Our faculty strives to have every class be an uplifting, positive experience. We understand that the Studio is where the real training takes place. JUMP’s classes are designed for dancers to go back to their studio feeling refreshed, inspired and motivated for a great season of dance!

WHY JUMP’S COMPETITION?

JUMP’s Competition is a held in a in a fun, supportive environment and adjudicated by our faculty and special guest judges. Here are just a few of the things that make JUMP’s Competition unique:

ONLINE EASE!

Everything related to our competition can be easily handled on our website: video critiques, score sheets, music uploading, personal schedules, results, press releases and more!

STAGE AND PRODUCTION!

JUMP has the most state-of-the art production set-up in the industry. Complete custom stage decks with marley, tap mics, video intros for each routine are only a couple of the things that set us apart!

TEACHER ONLY VIDEO CRITIQUE!

There are things a judge might want to say JUST to the teacher. Maybe it’s about a particular dancer’s technique, a costume, or choreography suggestions. Therefore, one judge on the panel will be doing a separate track for “teachers only.”

OUR STAGE IS GREAT FOR TAP!

Underneath our marley flooring, we have a custom wood stage deck, that is fully mic’d and makes a big difference for our tappers! It also makes the stage much more comfortable for other styles of dance. And remember… this year we are allowing one free Tap small group (4-9 dancers) for each studio registering 10 or more paying dancers for the workshop!

CUSTOM LICENSE PLATES!

Instead of those old trophies just sitting collecting dust, our custom License Plates are a fun way to display competition results at your home or studio!

Our Faculty

JUMP is proud to have gathered such a diverse, positive and high-energy faculty in so many styles of dance! Our mission is to have dancers of all ages and levels return to their dance studio feeling motivated and inspired!

Please note: Faculty varies from city to city. Unfortunately, JUMP cannot guarantee which faculty will be where. Occasionally, some advertised faculty will be replaced by equally qualified professionals.

Not sure if you’re ready for the FULL convention experience?

JUMPSTARTS

Our expanded JUMPstart program includes a two-day workshop and a JUMPstart division in our competition. This is a great intro into the convention world for dancers ages 5 & up! The JUMPstart program is for young dancers who want to experience JUMP but might find the Mini Room too challenging. The JUMPstart workshop consists of half-day classes on both Saturday and Sunday.

The JUMPstart experience includes a custom T-Shirt and special themed performance on the main stage!

One free JUMPstart Observer band will be given to the studio for the appropriate parent/guardian for each registered JUMPstart dancer. This wristband will only allow entrance to the JUMPstart classroom. It does not grant access to the Mini, Junior, Teen, Senior or Teacher rooms – NO exceptions. Additional JUMPstart Observer bands can be purchased, if needed.

JUMPstarts can participate in the competition if they are registered for both days of the JUMPstart workshop. One-day JUMPstart participants cannot compete.

JUMPstarts are not eligible to receive any scholarships.

ONE DAY WORKSHOP

JUMP offers a One-Day Workshop option. Dancers that are registered in the competition must be registered for the full weekend and cannot register for the One-Day Workshop.

One-day participants can register for the One-Day Workshop for Saturday OR Sunday. If possible, we recommend that participants register for Saturday since the Sunday classes are often continuations of what is started in class on Saturday.

One-day participants are NOT eligible for any scholarships.
